This was a toughy for me. I wanted to really love this book however, the plot was really predictable which ruined the rest of the story for me. I found the characters to be completely one-dimensional. Jo and Furore definitely have some type of chemistry but their love story is hardly believable. I've read N.J Adel's book before so I knew what to expect in terms of darkness for this book. I didn't mind those aspects at all and the smut was definitely there. Unfortunately, the book just didn't drag me in.

I was underprepared for just how toxic and taboo this was going to be. I didn’t enjoy the story very much once I knew the direction it was heading but I wanted to know what happened so I kept reading…this just wasn’t for me. I haaaaaaaated the love triangle.

This was a good boom. Not what I expected. Some of the plot I could forsee, but it was so well written. I can't wait to read more from this author.

When I was this was a MC/Mafia book I knew I need to read this. And omg was I right. This book has it all, teacher/student, age gap, ex boyfriend father, Tall, Dark, and deliciously psycho anti-heroes and of course secrets. So many secrets. Jo's story is a must read. I can't wait for Jo, Furore and Tirone's story to continue in the duet. After that cliffhanger I need book two please.

Furore is mc/mafia at the best. Jo is teacher at prison where she meets Furore. But Jo has dangerous past and Furore doesn’t care. He wants her and will do anything to get her. Jo falls for Furore knowing who is he. But her secrets could torn them apart. I love to see all scenes between plus their journey is incredible. But when Jo ex comes back for her can Furore keep her safe. Also the cliffhanger at the end is remarkable. I can’t wait for the next book.

Ughhhh this was disappointing. None of the characters had any backbone or interesting thing about them and I predicted the plot twist literally instantly. This was just boring.
