This book was a total surprise. I thought this was just another silly little sports ronance where the MCs are just horny and boinking. This was so much more. And the audiobook was just *chefs kiss*. Sean Cristen and Jo Raylan are so good in conveying the emotions of each MC. This quickly became one of my favourite books.
The FMC gets into a difficult situation, but i liked that she saves herself.

Definitely check the tw if you wanna read this, it’s very hard to swallow very hard to read and if you have the ability you will definitely enjoy the epic love story of Gus and Iris, I have to say, despite what she’ve been through, she is not my forte, i didn’t love her, i appreciate her strength but that’s it, because in the beginning she made horrible choices. Anyways go August! ❤️

At some spots in the book it got slow for me and I wanted to skip, but overall it was tense, dark and a page turner. I almost didn’t want to continue reading when Iris was **GOING THROUGH IT** dang those pages were hard to read.
