Richard Armitage is a fab narrator!

The story is grim in nature, I won’t lie - but really really well done. I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of Ellis’ books as I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Their Lost Daughters by Joy Ellis is the second book in the Jackman Evans series and better than the first one.

Two girls go to a party but only one girl Toni is found alive ,wandering lost, drugged and confused. She talks about the second girl Emily who went along with her but got abducted by unknown men. While investigating this case Jackman and are also asked to re-investigate a ten year old case of a missing child Kenya Black, which was never solved. Will Jackman and his team be able to find what happened to Emily and also provide justice to the Kenya Black’s case?

This is was a thrilling police procedural read with some great characters. The plot line flowed seamlessly and the end came together beautifully. I highly recommend Their Lost Daughters by Joy Ellis for all mystery lovers.

Many thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for this sample copy in exchange for my honest and fair review.

A young girl is found wandering the marshes. She's been drugged and her friend is missing. All the girl knows is that her friend's name is Emily, and that something awful has happened to her, but she can't tell the police what. DI Jackman and DS Evans are desperate to find out, and as the disappearances keep piling up, there seems to be a link between an illegal underground party with a constantly changing venue, the disappearance of an eight-year-old girl nearly 10 years ago and an old case involving a shooting and a suicide. But how they all connected?

When it came to crime scenes, it was pretty horrific. Wait til you read it I won't spoil it for you but let's just say it's pretty twisted. I liked the team of police that were trying to crack the case and I actually think this has got the potential for a T.V series, the images were so clearly constructed for me and the characters were strong. Bring on the next one!
