Read this as a family, and it might be the case that the movie is better than the book

5 glorious stars.

We read this book in my fifth grade class and I remember really loving it. I also remember that this was one of the first books to make me cry. The writing is fabulous and very lyrical. I remember we also went and saw a play version of the book and I also remember seeing the movie. Great read that I still remember after all of these years.
