Closed Door Mod: Chapter 6 (some parts)

This was a cute romance novella, but I don’t know if I would read this again. A lot of fluff between the two MCs as they try to figure out how to co-parent a dog and I personally liked both of the MCs. However, I feel like there wasn’t really any conflict at all. Other than some talking points about their previous relationships, there was nothing really to drive the plot along in terms of conflict. I don’t know if the fact that this is a novella is the reason why Weatherspoon didn’t had time to dive into any real sort of conflict or central problem of the book, but it ultimately made the book feel one-dimensional. It’s not bad if you a romance novella that’s almost majority fluff and a plot that doesn’t make you think too hard. However, if you want a plot with a little more nuance or some sense of central conflict, I wouldn’t recommend this book.
