What I really like about this volume is the quick small fights between the different participants of the chunin exam. It's nice to not linger too long on one fight, and get more of an idea of what the different characters can do, and what they specialise in. Though I must say that Shino's abilities are kind of gross, and the fight between Ino and Sakura must be so fucking weird to watch if you're not from their village or was in a different year than them at the academy (you might have an idea of the feud between them, but it would also be possible to not know anything about their fight over Sasuke). Also how the adult keep a straight face when Ino and Sakura are going at it I don't get. I'd honestly be trying not to laugh while they're trash talking each other, and at the whole headband thing.
