Cute romance.
Fairly easy to read but did hold me up a little bit. Just got bored mid way through but it did pick up eventually.

This is a sweet love story between Sarah and Cole, that will get you hooked from the start. A grumpy alpha male and a kind nurse meet because Sarah needs a course in self defense from Cole, and what can go wrong? Not much :)

I read this in one sitting since I had a hard time putting it down. It will be published September 10th so be on the look out!

3,5 stars rounded up.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for kindly providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

It's okay.
Typical Susan Stoker Hero, protective, caring and selfless.
He is a bit mean to her at the start, but sorts it.
Heroine has someone leaving her gifts so needs Ace security.
Hero says he hasn't dated in forever, heroine hasn't for about 4 years.
There are appearances from previous characters and couples in the series with references to their stories so best to read the series in order not to spoil it.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating.
Stalker issue but nothing sexual, he has developmental issues.
Bit patronising but a safe read for those looking for devoted Hero, non manwhore.

Bit insta, I love you and talk of babies was very quick.

HEA.
Epilogue.

ARC.

Loved this conclusion

This was the conclusion I didn't know I wanted.
It was nice to get to know Cole better and see how close he'd grown to the Anderson crew. And Sarah was the perfect woman for him.

To my shame, it's the first book that I've read by the author but won't be the last now that I've discovered her.
I loved the story and the characters are so great together, with flaws and reliable. Their inner thoughts and feelings were very well transcripted into the book and i just couldn't put my kindle down because i wanted to see how everything will unfold and what they have to go through to find that happy place and recognise their true feelings for each other.
Looking forward to more stories by the author.

This is my first Susan Stoker book, and I listened to the audiobook (included with Kindle Unlimited). It was… ok? It felt like an instalove novella, but romantic suspense. Featured a very protective MMC (although I found it stupid they didn’t get more security around the FMC if they were so worried about her stalker, and honestly the MMC had a few stalker tendencies himself) and a sweet/kind FMC. They’re both madly in love and talking about getting her pregnant within weeks of knowing each other (the sex scenes were pretty hot though). The writing was a bit repetitive at times but overall decent.

I think I had higher expectations for this book, which is why I’m rating it lower than some instalove novellas that are objectively of lower quality. With those instalove novellas, I *expect* a kind of campy, high-steam and OTT ‘love’ story. So.... I guess this is a case of my rating was affected by the marketing.Â
