Definitely recommend if you're a fan of the show--especially if, like me, you always crave more Danvers sisters moments.

Also Cat Grant. I miss you, Cat Grant.

honestly this is not what I read but Goodreads took away the option to manually add books so this was close enough for logging purposes.

what I actually read, the supercorp omnibus 2022, had a lot of great artworks from fanartists I hadn't seen before, was made with a lot of love, and had some pretty good fics (not all to my taste or what I think of as "collection quality," but I'm picky and have read a lot)

I had some fun reading this. I prefer the parts where they don't use the actors' faces [except the cover] as part of the comics. Luckily there are only a couple of times when they do that.

This is a strong collection of Supergirl stories. (I wish I liked the show this much!) It is clearly set in the TV universe but improves on it by focusing on Supergirl herself while downplaying the DEO and supporting cast. It makes for a much more balanced story. Hopefully this team will do a second volume.

We discussed the early days of the TV show that inspired this volume over on Comic Book Coffee Break: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW-r_gb8e98&t=1923s

A really fun spin off of the TV show. Typically these kind of things feel like cash ins with minimal effort, but that was not the case here. Gates is one of the best Supergirl writers and he's paired with great artists for each arc. Fans of the show will definitely dig this, but I think it stands well enough on it's own that people who are just fans of Supergirl in general will enjoy it as well.

I received a free copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really fun comic book. I enjoy the character of Supergirl a lot, even though I still haven't checked the TV show out (I know, shame on me). The only comic solely focusing on her that I had previously read I had liked just fine, but didn't find amazing. This one was a little better, but still didn't blow me away.

The art is typical comic book style art and the stories are fairly typical for superhero arcs as well. I enjoyed them, but didn't find them to be groundbreakingly different or unique. If you like Supergirl, I think this comic is definitely worth checking out.

Loved this! Loved the artwork, the story, and I especially loved getting to see inside Kara's mind. Alex was amazing as usual!
I actually almost cried towards the end (which was very emotional). Need I say more?

It was nice seeing how these characters were interpreted from screen into comic form, and I'm happy to say that I enjoyed this as much as the TV show, which I'm currently watching for the fourth time (I'm not even slightly ashamed of admitting it
