So convoluted. I had high hopes for this book. It’s all over the place and there are many murders spoiler and so many false identities galore /spoiler. 

I needed a damn flow chart for this book. I will try another book by this author because I did like the pacing and writing but the content was not ideal.

I flew through this! There was a lot happening, but it was easy to follow. I loved the flashbacks to the past intertwined with the present. The ending was abrupt and there were a lot of sped up plot points that didn’t fully connect for me, but overall another great read by Jennifer Hillier!

This was really well written, but I did not expect this to be nearly as dark as it was.

I don't feel like the blurb gave any indication of all the child abuse and I was not prepared. It was handled well, in my opinion, but I was not expecting it.

I also felt like the whole setup was just a way to write this tragic backstory and the opening mystery didn't actually impact the story that much.
