What a wonderful little book!

It starts out with some charming world building. The environment is mysterious, yet cozy and inviting. Then you meet more characters and the book really kicks off.

The conclusion was also refreshing and relaxing to read. I finished the whole book in 2hrs. Get yourself a nice big cup of tea and enjoy this one on a rainy day. You won't regret it.

My general feelings over this, summed up, are just: it's okay. The world-building was great, and the plot started out a relaxing kind of okay, only to peter out into a philosophical meh. I didn't really care for Dex as a character. Mosscap was interesting, especially with that name, but ultimately nothing that really stood out to me. There were a lot of philosophical and environmental messages (Mosscap being the main deliverer of the former) and I ended up feeling like it became less of an actual story and more of a way just to tell us said messages.

I read both Monk & Robot books in a single sitting, so I'll just write a single review for both.

These novellas are unlike anything I've ever read. They are the perfect read when you are feeling lost or are simply having an off-day; they are like giving your soul a warm cup of tea.
Even though the books are short, by the end you just want just want to spend all your your time cozied up talking with the main characters about what makes you you.

I laughed, cried - healing tears - and I just couldn't help but falling in love with these books. Without a doubt they've become some of my favorites.
