I really enjoyed the style or narration in the book. It added a funny twist to the book. However, i just don’t really think the book was for me. I expected something a little darker and more fast paced

It was just okay. Witchy historical fiction is usually my jam, but I just wasn’t feeling this book’s vibe. Maybe it was the multiple plots or the fact that the book found itself a little too clever. It kept winking at itself almost. It could also be because I listened to the audiobook instead of read it in print or ebook.

This was too long! For some reason, halfway through it felt like I was nearing the end and I still had about 10 hours to listen to. Maybe another case of too many books in a book. Some of the horror got me, but the word "yellow jacket" is so clunky that the frequent use/device of it stopped being creepy to me.

Muitas vezes eu culpo as minhas expectativas pelas notas que eu dou aos livros, porém esse o livro durante a sua leitura foi criando altas expectativas, aonde a narrativa iria chegar, qual seria o desfecho dessa história tão mirabolante. Mas... no fim foi somente uma boa história que poderia ter sido finalizada de uma maneira melhor (de acordo com minha opinião é claro).
