"To the weirdos & the dreamers" ~ I love the dedication in Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston.

It is a great alternate reality story of Alex, the First Son of the American President (who just happens to be a woman) and Henry, spare heir of the British Monarchy. I really liked Casey's easy writing style, taking us on a journey of life and love between two young men, from two very different families on opposite sides of the pond. This story made me laugh, cry and feel almost every emotion in between. I am looking forward to watching the movie based on this novel and seeing Alex and Henry brought from the page to the screen.

very cute romance wise but a little bit too much politics for me, shouldve expected that though.
the ending also just didn't feel like an ending? im not sure how to describe that but overall good book, I'd reccomend as a gateway for reading more queer books.

I. LOVED. IT. I loved it so muchhhhh. I decided to read this book ahead of the movie release because I had somehow never heard of it in my whole life and also because I'm just starting to get into queer books and media. I loved the story tbh. I walked in guessing that it would be angst for like 9-10 chapters and then cutesy romance towards the end but I was soooo wrong. Like I was able to predict about half the story but I'm not even going to lie, some of the stuff in the plot surprised me. This book really touched the part of me that still has hope and I don't think I can get over that anytime soon :)

I'm still processing, but by God this is one of the best books I've ever read. Funny, deep, emotional, hopeful, downright revolutionary.

I'll carry it with me for the rest of my life.
