The main character is a teen girl, Bayleigh. Unplugged Summer kicks off with Bayleigh getting in trouble with her mom for sending a topless photo to her “sort of” boyfriend. The “love triangle” if it can be referred to as such is between Ian who pressures Bayleigh for nude photos and constantly demonstrates just how little he cares for her and Jace who treats Bayleigh like a human, but has too many of his own issues for me to root for them as a couple.

From the moment the love interest of this story appears he shows his anger issues, but that doesn’t deter Bayleigh from seeking him out. Determined to get this mysterious neighbor’s attention Bayleigh accidentally-on-purpose takes a snow globe from her mother’s childhood collection and throws it off the balcony. From there, the romance develops quickly without much development. I did not find any of these characters likable.

This book has a great plot. The characters are super impersonal. The possiblity of a relationship starting as quickly as it did, just isn't happening. If i were to continue reading the series it would be just because id like to know what happened to the characters. extremely fast read.
