It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you read the Trigger Warnings as this prequel has intense situations that may bother some readers.

Meet Sibel. Her friends call her Sibby. She escaped a religious cult and now travels with a traveling haunted house/fair. She’s a loner and only spends time with her harem of men: Jackal, Timothy, Mortis and Cronus. She calls them her henchmen and they work in the haunted house with her, helping her with her kills and taking care of her, ah hum, womanly needs.

Sibby, to put it quite frankly, is pleasantly terrifying. She’s short tempered, rash, prone to judgement, and violent. She gets off on killing her victims and hacking them into tiny bits. She’s terrifying simply because she has no fear of dying and believes her cause is just— so she does it without remorse or guilt.

If you like twisted, f’ed up reads, then this is for you. If you can’t handle blood and sex, I suggest you pass on this one.

I really enjoyed seeing more from Sibby’s POV from Haunting Adeline. I read this in between haunting and hunting. I would recommend reading it here or before Haunting. Like HD Carlton’s other books I do reccomend looking into the warnings before reading this. As the series goes along for the Cat and mouse duet they do continuously get darker. I really can’t wait to see what else HD Carlton does with Sibby’s character!!

I was unfortunately spoiled for the plot twist pretty on, so I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more if I didn't know the twist. However I still thought it was enjoyable and will be reading the next book!
