I so enjoyed reading this book. It was a lot of fun and I found myself laughing at a lot of the scenes in the story. I loved the characters and was rooting for their HEA. I was frustrated at times though. I felt they could get a little hung up. However, that being said, I absolutely adored them and loved seeing them together and seeing their progression. This was a sweet story and I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this series and this author.

I am seriously loving the Calendar Boys series so far! These books really showcase how far Nicole has come and how amazing her storytelling is!

Mr Feb introduces us to Katie and Jackson.
Jackson is completely heartbroken, scorned and betrayed by his fiancé and bestie.
Katie is accidentally locked in the bar and deserted by her friends, so she helps Jackson to his apartment above the bar.
From there they develop a mutual attraction and budding friendship.

I found Katie and Jackson to be hilarious, their banter so realistic it get like I was part of the conversation. Katie’s friend Tillie was so comical she had me laughing out loud at times.

I love so much that these are short novels that aren’t being weighed down by heaps of sex and no plot. The development is very satisfying and overall a great read.

Cannot wait for Mr March!

Jackson is drinking himself to death in his restaurant after closing, when Katie comes waltzing out of the bathroom. After helping him upstairs to his apartment, and then staying the night to make sure he stays alive, Jackson tells her the reason behind his drinking: his ex cheated on him with his best friend. And the second the air is clear? Well, the sexual connection is immediate. Katie sneaks out while he’s sleeping, going their separate ways…until she walks about into his place again, where he apparently doesn’t just live, but owns! Their flirty banter picks right back up again, but they put the sexual tension aside long enough to become fast friends. They continue to deny their feelings, even to their friends. Jackson is convinced he’s still hung up on his ex, but he’s really caught up on the pain she caused. He quickly realizes his biggest fear is losing Katie because of it. And he won’t let that happen. I laughed so much through this book. The banter between Katie and Jackson, Jackson and his best friend Bryn, Katie and her best friend Tillie, and of course any time they were together. I didn’t realize this was fade to black until the second time it happened. Which is odd because I tend to prefer the nitty gritty details. But there was just something about Katie and Jackson; I never felt the need to have the sexual bits.

I was supposed to read this last month, but other books took priority, but I honestly wish I'd put it higher on my TBR because I really needed this light hearted romance to lighten up my mood a little. I don't have any complaints for this book, other than it being a little dramatic and over the top. But this kind of what I signed up for and I really enjoyed it for that reason.

I enjoyed reading this sweet and shot book! I know I gave it a low rating, but I loved it anyway!

After a one-night stand, Jackson and Katie meet again to organize Katie’s best friend wedding. They left on good terms and start as friends because Katie is looking for some stability in her relationships while Jackson is still trying to get over his cheating ex!

This book can be categorized as “guilty pleasure” because I know it’s not the best, but I enjoyed reading it and it was really fun!
I think I would have liked more seriousness especially since Jackson’s coping mechanisms is alcohol.

Also, Katie’s best friend is insufferable.

Tropes:
  • Friends to lovers
  • One night stand
  • Forced proximity
  • Very low angst and drama

Beautiful story with low angst, friends to lovers and the author is showing how much a friend means to those who are experiencing hard times in life such as alcohol issues and the betrayal of ex-fiances, how one is not ready to give up everything when they invested so much in that life but have to overcome all this so they can see a future and build another life with real feelings and learn to trust again. I am intrigued by the side characters and looking forward to the new books and love stories.

This rom-com was beyond cute! It was filled with great banter and lots of laughs. The two start off in a very unconventional way (Jackson drunk as a skunk and Katie nursing a stranger overnight……then getting the best thank you in the morning
