I picked this off of the shelf today because I've seen other books in the series advertised. It was quite imaginative, and I had no idea it was an alphabet book. Four times through the alphabet-- healthy foods that make kitty do bad things, then more appropriate foods that make her do more appropriate things (or at least make up for her earlier actions). The objects are sometimes ridiculous, such as "an eXcess of Tyrannosaurus reX" but that's what makes it enjoyable.

I'm keeping track of picture books that would make for good read-alouds in addition to longer chapter books. This book is amusing and through the use of repetition could help teach younger children to use the alphabet.

This book is like a Disney movie. Everyone has fun, and there are some jokes thrown in just for the grownups. The alphabet listing was a bit long for the kiddos, but it was just silly enough to hold their attention.
