Loved the plot but the execution wasnt ideal. From the time line in which the story was told, to plot parts that were brushed over or left out- the writing style just isnt mine. Also the main character is written in a way that suggest the author wanted you to be like „wow a cool-girl that stands up for herself“ but she has sooo much internalized misogyny and makes so many unnecessary comments about other women that it actually makes me question whether i might be supposed to hate Grace as much as I do. In general the vibe is all women suck because they are such „women“ and the men just want to fuck so they also suck. Except for Andrew and Lara. Yay them i guess. But still, the main character lacked… character. Its especially annoying because the premise for the book sounded so good. In conclusion- not my favorite. Cant recommend.

A very exciting book. I didn’t love how it ended, but I still loved this book.

One star for the ending, which ruined the pleasure of the whole reading experience. In addition, some of the descriptions were unnecessary, the main character sometimes came off as a hypocrite (but this is somehow understandable), nevertheless it is possible to like her, but a plus for pretty decent murder scenes, although the author could have just focused more on that, rather than whining about everything. It was ok.

started real strong and was pretty fun in general, with a slight dip around the middle as some parts were incredibly drawn out. i found myself rooting for the MC most of the times, even though as a millenial/gen-z cusp i felt incredibly called out by her cynical humor and surface-level politics. the plot twist was annoying af and it was supposed to be , which i found genuinely funny. all in all a good time
