I liked this book better than the first one in this series. It seemed to me to have a better story line. The characters are getting to know each other better and interacting batter. Laurie and nick's relationship is getting better and i like the addition of Jules and Cindy to the story. I also enjoyed how you think it is a happy ending till the end. How nothing is like it seems for the Vargus children. Also at the end the Grace children make an appearance. I can't wait to see how this story concludes in Book 3.

The second part of this interesting story about giants in Florida. A lot of fun adventure and action... Don't miss it if you are a Spiderwick Chronicles fan... :) Btw just after this one, you will definitely want to read the third book immediately.

A great continuation of the spiderwick chronicles!

The fact that I was more interested in reading Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann back in the day than I ever was reading this is telling. The characters are all awful people, they don't act like real children, the point of the trilogy is still nowhere to be seen and the environmentalist message is not well executed.

I'm a simple creature. I adore familiarity and revel in predictability when it comes to the fiction I consume. A giant-slayer named Jack? Sign me up. An extended return of the Grace (or whatever their real last name is) children? Consider my day made. I'm generous with 4- and 5-star ratings, and this one is no exception. Might not have been the height of literature but I sure did enjoy myself reading it.

I think this might have been the best book I've read out of the seven I've read so far from the Spiderwick world. Okay listened to, not really read but it's the same story. That ending!!! WOW! The action is definitely intense in this second novel of Beyond The Spiderwick Chronicles. I could really gush about this one for a while, but I'm honestly more interested in seeing how this all turns out. Highly recommended.
