I really enjoyed this one. I loved Gabriel and Jared's relationship. Yes their relationship with each other may be unhealthy and toxic. But I can't help but love them. I'm excited to get into the next book with Tristan(Gabriel's adoptive brother) and Zach. They seem like they'll be a fun couple to read about.

What was it? Some kind of messed-up dependency? Love? Could platonic love be that strong?

I'm sitting down to write this review after having read through book 5 of this series. Just a Bit Unhealthy stands out the most to me, so far. Hazard continues to impress me with her ability to create characters and relationships that are messy and complicated and fascinating. Yes, Gabriel is a "little shit" but he's still understandable and sympathetic (in my opinion). Perhaps most importantly for a romance novel, I believed Jared and Gabriel's love and affection for each other was genuine—which made the angst throughout the story exquisitely intense.

Imma be honest I wasn't expecting any of these books to be good actually. Or, I was expecting them to be good as fun short little stories not. This level of emotional complexity? But here we are. Honestly the only thing keeping this form being 5 stars is the way the sexual relationship worked out. I would've either liked more mixed feelings there or more build up (or no mutual sexual relationship at all which wouldve been the most interesting to me), it ended up feeling too easy to me, but even the way it went it was. Extremely good.
