I enjoyed this book from Tess Gerritsen. It was first published as 'Peggy Sue Got Murdered', but I don't know the year. It was her first book at a crime thriller. I had never read it, bought it at a library book sale, and decided to see what it was about. Not disappointed by it, but it's more romantic suspense to me.

Kat Novack is an assistant ME, that is putting her life back together from a divorce. A Jane Doe comes into the ME's office from an apparent drug overdose. Kat doesn't think anything of it, because drug overdoses, said to say, are common. But soon there are others, and the drug is new.

Adam is wealthy and a widower. His step-daughter is missing. He has been looking for her with no luck. Soon his and Kat's lives collide.

They go on the hunt for his step-daughter and the drug. The only question is can they survive it?

🙂 Happy Reading 🙃
