This started out pretty choppy and I had to skim a little to get into it. The widowed doctor heroine was a really interesting character. She's a force to be reckoned with and easily the best thing about the book. Her hero's a serious douche-canoe, though. I wanted to reach in the book and slap him on more than one occasion for being a grade-A hypocritical selfish assface. Also, he's THE WORST AMATEUR DETECTIVE EVER. No, seriously. What a freakin' idiot.
