Shirley y'all jest about "iconic horror stories" 😉. Not spooky, just a touch  eerie and maybe unsettling. Some were great but mostly duds that seem like unfinished writing prompts

I loved several of the stories in this collection, and others fell flat for me. No surprise, but the standout is, by far, "The Lottery." "The Intoxicated" was excellent as well. Worth noting that I was entirely misguided in picking this for one of my Halloween reads. Oops!

Interesting and unusual. I went in thinking these were scary short stories but they are actually just odd. Well written but just unusual captured moments with no concrete end, they just kind of end leaving you thinking like "that's it?"... okay lol.
