FMC was definitely not lovable, but she was relatable. That amount of religious trauma is bound to do something to a person.

Where the fuck did he bf run off to? WAS HE FUCKING SLOAN??? I mean we had enough evidence to know they were 100% having an emotional affair with their partners, but wasn't Daisy as well? She was sneaking into this girl's apartment to watch her sleep. Faking a pregnancy to the extent Daisy did honestly isn't horrifying to me as much as it is just sad.

Her boyfriend needing the bugs to get off tho? And bringing BUGS TO SEE SLOAN??? He was fucking that whore just like the pastor smh

I expected the ending but I also did not expect the ending. The build is imperceptible at first, then the MC’s actions are merely questionable then everything crescendos. Very well written unique characters.

Listen I loved the religious trauma, traumatic childhood friendship, and the writing style. But I couldn’t ✨care less✨ about motherhood and pregnancy. I would be so engrossed in the book and every time pregnancy was mentioned (which is a lot) it ripped me right out of the story. It’s a me problem not a book problem lol.
