This was such a unique and interesting premise and it started off strong, but the second half was less compelling and dragged.

I genuinely don’t know how I feel after reading this book. Some moments were wonderful. Other moments made me cringe.

I listened to this audiobook in the span of two days because if how immersive and compelling it was. I really enjoyed being in the POV of an angry teenager ghost from centuries ago, haunting and feeling through the living. Her descriptions are so vivid and hedonistic, and sometimes so vivid and painfully gripping… It was the perfect follow-up to Maggie O’Farrel’s The Mariage Portrait, it almost felt like a far-off sequel.
