Fun supernatural story
Some interesting and unique supernatural concepts and characters pepper the plot and keep you turning the pages. A fun light read.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a good job. There is a continuation storyline.

3.5 I probably would have given it a 4 if it weren't for the poor editing and some missing details of how Darby arrived at some of the conclusions she drew.

Good start
It's a good start. A bit predictable in several places, and it feels a little rushed towards the end. There's also the tiniest hint that there might be romance in the future, but it feels like it was shoehorned in at the last minute. Not organic. Overall, though, pretty good for a start. I'll keep reading.

Loved it
Darby is a police detective with a great conviction rate..
In Dead to Me a body is discovered just down the street from where Darby lives...
After her partner, J - short for Jeremiah, wakes her up they go the the park to investigate the dead body. It is someone from their past...and she has something of Darby's
Did I mention that Darby is a grave talker...meaning she can see and talk to ghosts..sometimes it gets her some weird looks...
The investigation takes some weird turns...
The characters are likeable and well thought out. The storyline kept my interest so much so that I got the next book from KU...

Great for fans of the Charley Davidson series.
Smart alec of a cop can see ghosts and solves their murders. No doubt that Davidson was better, but this is a great balm to soothe my heart when I miss Darynda Jones books.
