This volume is really good, Yatora, the protagonist is dealing with developing his artistic skill and influences while under the grind of art prep school. Some supporting characters help bring about some specific social pressures and prejudices that causes some very pointed tension in the story. I’m giving this volume a 4 because it’s really good yet there’s no specific high point, there’s a variety of thought provoking character and story beats. The series overall is excellent.

More art! I enjoyed that this volume was heavily about composition, things that maybe you don't always think about when you look at art. Yatora's entire thought process about composition and how it realtes to his art is relatable, and you can see how it might change thim throughout the story.

There's also a discussion in here about famous artists and the fact that, even if you consider yourself an artist, that doesn't mean that you have to like art that's considered "good." What's considered good is subjective, anyway. It's a great discussion, especially as it relates to aspiring artists.
