Now excuse me, I need to make sure my car breaks down in some hot guy’s yard in a quaint small town

I was smiling the whole time. The whole time, from beginning to finish. And when I least expected any book to be this good, this book just slapped my face and shouted ‘HERE I AM!!’. And I couldn’t have been more grateful for it.

Amelia and Noah were to die for! It leaned towards a slow-burn romance but the intensity had always been there from the start. I usually prefer my book spicy but this book was the exception of all my rules. I loved everything about it. Every page brought me joy and I just…damn. I don’t even know what to say. I enjoyed it so much. Amelia was a ray of sunshine and Noah? Noah was a big grumpy cinnamon roll that I so desperately loved. There was no unnecessary romance. Two mature human beings falling in love with fantastic side characters to make this book even more perfect. What more could I ever ask for???

tbh the conflict wasn’t really a conflict, and the insta love was too much for me.

Cute, fun, entertaining! This is the first book I’ve read by Sarah Adams and I love her writing. Her characters are funny and witty, but also relatable. I was worried I was going to hate this because I’m not big on the whole “famous person falls for average person” but Amelia was so easy to like and Noah was even easier to love.

An international pop star runs away from the spotlight to a small town in Kentucky, inspired by Roman Holiday, and ends up falling for the grumpy local pie shop owner.

It was cute and I liked the premise but it started to drag in the middle and I was finding a lot of it quite repetitive so it felt a bit like a slog. There's only so many times you can read the same sentences about how they "absolutely would never work as a couple" only for them to do a very abrupt last minute turn.

It was very must insta-love.

When in Rome by Sarah Adams is my first book by her and I loved it. This Rom-com was such an easy and fun read for me. I love Amelia and Noah’s characters and the dual pov in the book. I’m so excited to read Annie story soon.
