This was a deliciously erotic novella that managed to infuse so much heart and emotion into a really short time frame. With a story this short, sometimes the character development suffers, but I thought the beginning of this novel did such a great job of establishing Caroline's backstory and making her a vivid and well-rounded character. There's not as much development on the men in this book, but even still, I was connected to their motivations and looked forward to seeing how their roles developed int he book.

The bulk of this novel is a series of off-the-charts sexy menage scenes featuring a myriad of combinations of a M/M/M/F hookup. What I loved about it is that in a power dynamic like this, where Caroline is by all means the submissive in the scenario, she never loses agency. She's in control of her needs and her sexuality and never once did I feel like she was exploited or out of her element. In fact, she grows as a character through these scenes, and I was fascinated by her development. The scenes are crazy sexy and took went places I wasn't expecting, but they never feel tawdry or forced. These four characters just have a super good time, and everyone leaves feeling fulfilled and free.

If you like your romance steamy, this book is definitely that. It is set up against an intriguing party backdrop with Caroline performing as living art, which I found fascinating. You'll enjoy these characters and the fantasy they live out over an evening where nothing is what is expected.
