Probably the weakest book in the series so far. I found it very hard to get emotionally invested in the characters the author spent the first half of the novel developing, as I was fairly certain early on that they were going to die. In terms of a defining character moment, however, I do think this book did an excellent job of establishing the Evil portion of the Evil Overlord title for Ainz; this was the first book in which I truly found it impossible to accept even the dubious morality of Ainz's choices. Moving forward with Ainz's world domination, I think this was necessary, but I think it could have been done more effectively in another way.
Overall, there was a sense of inevitability with this work that made it difficult to get invested in the narrative and the characters introduced. The lack of stakes on the part of Nazarick likely contributed to this-- the entire premise was that this "invasion" was to test the basic defenses of Nazarick, but a book-long training exercise cum curb stomp just doesn't make for the most interesting reading.
(That said, I did enjoy Arche's character arc, and I'm still looking forward to reading the next book in this series.)

Enjoyed it a lot. I love the additional details that were not shown in the Anime/Manga
