seriously great read!

Who wouldn’t Kincaid as a book boyfriend!? My goodness! He’s amazing. And so wonderful for Emmalyn. Can’t wait to start the next book.

Diego "Kincaid" Anderson is a man who will not tolerate the abuse of women and when he sees Emmalyn Mikaelson being abused by her husband he offers her an out.  Kincaid finds himself fiercely protective of Emmalyn and he wants her.   Being forced out of town for work, Kincaid keeps Emmalyn protected while getting to know her.  Falling hard for the skittish woman, he goes about wooing her but the threat to her has amplified and Kincaid needs to figure out a way to end the danger once and for all.

I liked this one, will definitely be reading more in this series.  New to me author and was thrilled I picked this one up.  A bit angsty but overall I thought the chemistry was there and enjoyed the flow of the story.

2024 - reread - Anyplay - still 3 stars

2022– Ok, I know the heroine was abused by an ex but I found her constantly bursting into tears annoying. Would have loved the plot to be more focused on the rescue missions but maybe that will happen in future books. I really liked Kincaid though and I’m interested in Kid’s story, will see how that story goes on whether I continue with this author or not.
