This book seems mainly aimed at kids. However, I greatly enjoyed reading this, and learnt so much! Definitely would recommend it if you’re at all interested in the ocean.

Super informative overview of the ocean. Especially great for kids just learning about the ocean, but even as an adult who grew up by the ocean, I learned a few things and enjoyed the book immensely for its art and formatting.

I originally had trouble downloading this book but when I got it sorted out, I was scared that the book wasn't going to be worth it. I was glad I fought for this book as the illustrations alone were so beautiful and frame-worthy. I honestly couldn't stop admiring them.

The book had an amazing way of not feeling like you were reading tons of facts. It flowed so well and was easy to understand and learn from. The writing was simple yet effective in teaching me about the wonders of the ocean and would be perfect for young children. The drawings of all the sea life would keep them fascinated and interested as you, or even they, read.

There are some sad portions in the book, near the end, which talks about the endangerment of animals such as the polar bears, and the effect global warming and plastic waste is having on our planet, but I believe that can help some have a wake-up call and realise that neither is a hoax, but is in fact a very serious problem our future is facing.

Recieved from NetGalley.

This was decently interesting - I shared bits with my almost 7 year old as I read and she enjoyed the information and was able to read most of it. My biggest complaint is the fonts chosen - I'm unsure if it was just in the epub form and would be fine in a physical book, but I had a very hard time reading it. I asked her about that font and she said it was pretty, but that she couldn't read it because she isn't great at decoding cursive-like fonts yet. I'd like my child to be able to find information and peruse the book at her leisure, as well as be read to, and that made it difficult. I love the idea of something like this, and I would probably borrow it from the library, but I'm unsure if it's one we would choose to own.
