We go deeper

I think this is my favourite of the series so far for two reasons: 1. this installment takes the reader deeper into the pack, into Mercy and Adam's relationship and a lot of complexity that those elements bring. 2. it had a tough storyline start and the wolf with depression was such a good and valid plot point. My heart broke over this one but the resolution was clever.

Mercy had subtle but palpable character growth in Silver Borne, she was forced to face her standing in the pack and how she dealt with that made great reading. I want a bit more of Adam to this depth, I feel like I am getting know him more deeply and yet I'm still left a bit wanting. I do adore him as a character and those two together.

The Sam/Samuel connundrum had my heart in my mouth, then settled but avidly reading this part gave me all the feels. I needed Samuel to be secure, cared for, loved. I do hope we will see some more of how that pans out in future books.

I could quite easily just jump from one book to the next in this series but a little savouring helps the series last longer, be remembered better and appreciated more.
