I wasn't really sure what to expect from this book. I really liked the Spanish Love Deception so I thought I'd give this one a go and much as it was sweet it just felt... I don't know. Different.

For one, I kept wanting more content of Lina and Aaron's happy ending rather than focusing on Rosie and Lucas, frankly their story wasn't that interesting tbf and the general plot line was mainly their relationship. BUT; it is a romance book so that's understandable. If you want a cute, sweet romance to read on a beach (just like I did) its perfect, in my opinion The Spanish Love Deception had a lot more content and plot and generally felt like a better book.

Despite this I did enjoy reading the scenes and it did make me smile and laugh at times. Not my first choice of book, but not the worse either.

this was a much better read than TSLD. i liked how there was significantly less comment on the sheer size of the ML (iykyk), i liked a lot how there was more time with the characters alone together, how you could feel the connection between the characters, and how they had inside jokes. I didn't so much like the grand gestures and hallmark movie esque confessions. maybe that's just my personal preference

I liked this kind-of-sequel to the author‘s first book. At some parts it felt a bit wonky and he end was too dragged out for my taste, but overall it was nicely done. What I really appreciated was that the male lead could actually smile and show emotions? You don‘t find that very often huh. And he was (surprisingly) not that tall, not that muscular, no dark hair, no dark eyes - you know the drill - but an actual individual person and not copypasted from countless other romance novels.

I loved this book and it was short but somehow I took so long to finish it.

I love Lucas he’s it and bro I’m glad he’s going to be a chef and I’m glad we continued to hear from Lina and my husband Aaron. There were some cute moments but I didn’t really like the epilogue like I wished we could see more into the future and like how did Rosie not get pregnant when Lucas never used protection like I feel like the autor should have done something with that but other than that I liked it there’s words like “busted” that I just didn’t enjoy but it’s whatever I mean that’s Elena style. I don’t know what but I feel like this book was missing something like it’s really not bad but idk I can’t rank it higher than 4. I did like how at the end Lucas focused on himself yk some self love and he really did need that and I also did shred some tears because of Lucas beautiful words but idk I felt like it was missing something. I didn’t like the whole experiment think even though it was the main thing but I felt like since it’s an experiment nothing is supposed to be taken seriously but like I’m over here hoping they get married from the beginning and also some parts especially towards then they were kinda perfectible but oh I love it when he calls her preciosa it’s simple but cute.
