um, the ending was crazy, it definitely makes me want to read the third book. HOWEVER, I don’t think I will because of all the fluff in this book. like other reviews said, it takes a whole book (600+) pages to get to Atlantia. This book definitely could’ve been smaller but I do not regret reading the build up to the multiple intense moments in the book. This book is more informational and world building. you learn a lot about the characters and their past. there are a lot of cute moments but u won’t get the ultimate romance moments until your more than halfway through the book. This is suppose to be a romance book but you don’t get the crazy romance aspect that everyone yearns for until the last like 10-15 chapters and there’s 45 chapters in total. I’m all for a slow burn(which in this book, it was down decently well), however this book couldve definitely been minimized a bit. There were a lot of moments in the book that wasn’t needed. Most dialogues were very repetitive 4/5⭐️

this was so good. like stare at the ceiling after you finish kind of good.

Poppy was already a strong heroine but she is just getting stronger and stronger and I love to see her growth. I can say Casteel has annoyed me a couple more times but he is forgiven. I love his and Poppy’s relationship dynamic so much.

i feel like so much is about to go down in the next book

Marking as read to get it off my shelf, I only had 15% to go and still couldn't manage to make myself finish. I kept hanging on for the series since so many people seem to love it and recommend it but I found the writing shallow and the characters painfully boring and predictable. Cringeworthy dialogue.
