DNF at 31%, its a why choose monster romance.
The way it is written is a big factor for why I DNF'd. There's not really a plot or reasons why things happen and the plot that is there isn't explained. The worldbuilding isn't great either, I think it's semi modern because someone was wearing jeans? The first many chapters were confusing and very fast paced. The way the main character's magic works made me feel a little uncomfortable and a lot of the description and dialogue were awkward.
From where I've got it feels like it's a book meant mostly for the spice and not the story, but even in the spicy scenes I saw they felt a bit disconnected and awkward how some things played out.
Over all just not the right fit for me.

Omg this book is amazing if you love monsters and dark fantasy Rh romance books you will love this book. I could not put it down stay up far to late at night to try finish this book. I love Quintessa she so funny and alway got comeback and ball of steel. I cannot wait for book 2 highly recommended you read this book it's beautifully written and the characters are amazing. Please check your trigger warnings ⚠️
