I think the mc would be happy to know that I read her story in a pool and that I swim laps everyday. it makes me feel something to know that a fictional might actually like me

Holy shit. I read this book in one sitting. I can’t even begin to explain how it pulled me in I could not put it down. A deeply darkly comedic story of trauma, revenge, and healing. Holy shit.

Just not my kind of book. Feels like maybe if I was reading it as part of a uni course, I would come to class and everyone would point out all of these big themes I’m missing (where’s the comedy?), and that would maybe make me like it more but still be frustrated with my reading experience. But as there won’t be any group discussions that make it make sense, I’m just gonna not finish it.
