re-reading the series because I saw the movie - forgot how brilliant these books are. there is a big difference between reading something addicting and poorly written (twilight) and something both brilliantly written and addicting. very glad I picked them back up.

An amazing book—absolutely could not stop reading it! I was completely caught up in the suspenseful and thrilling world of Harry Potter. Can’t wait to read the next book!

Solid action but I just can’t get around Harry’s incessant whining. I had forgotten how insufferable he is in this book. Wes did enjoy hating on Umbridge, which was really satisfying.

From the art work on the cover to the last page inside this is a dark and scary novel. The longest of the HP books, it is an exhausting read but well worth the time. If Book 4 introduces Harry to the costs of his destiny, then Book 5 teaches Harry the truth behind it. Watching Harry struggle with the loss of what little innocence he had left takes this book to "literature."

Might be my favorite novel of the series thus far. Amped for Year 6!
