This is phenomenal. It truly shows all the ugly problems minorities have to face, still, in today's society. Having just finished reading, I can't possibly give a proper review since my thoughts are all over the place. Truly a powerful book.

I stopped this a year ago because it was too much language for me. But I am glad I did finish it!

Can’t believe I haven’t read this book sooner! I feel like it genuinely educated me. The only reason i’m not giving it five stars is because i found some chapters a little bit long and felt like the things were overly explained even though they shouldn’t be (talks about the food or the basketball scenes etc.)

Honestly, believe the hype. This is a fantastic story that highlights perseverance, love, hope, race, and humanity.
