The writing was good but holy crap was the story slow. Penelope’s pace weaving that shroud was quicker than the pace of this book. And now I find out there’s a sequel, meaning there was plenty of plot to draw from but she dragged this out into eternity on purpose. I liked the narration from Hera’s POV by the end but it made it super confusing in the beginning and difficult to get into. Idk if I’ll read the sequel. I kinda wish Jennifer Saint or Madeline Miller would write a Penelope story so I could just read theirs instead.
