I really enjoyed the first three novellas in this series but wow I hated this one. Maggie is such a caricature of a person it’s hard to buy into it at all. The romance pacing all feels weird and off and I don’t buy any of it. Wishing I just skipped this one.

A cutesy holiday romance in the making. She never had happy holidays growing up, so when she discovered the town of Reindeer Falls, she instantly fell in love and moved there. She also took on the role of Holiday Enforcement Officer and she's ready to throw out violations to anyone not upholding the towns strict holiday cheer. Trust me, she takes her job seriously! He is from the town but moved out to go to college and never returned. That is until his uncle passed away and left him his house. So back to town he came to get the house ready to sell. He hates the town and all the Christmas-ness surrounding it. Unfortunately for him, there's a Christmas cop who is hot on his heels. These characters are 'adorable' though they still have a sexiness about them. There are many laughs (granted, many are due her unending love of the holiday and her seriousness of her role.) This is book four of the series, but can be easily read as a stand alone. There is mention of the characters from the previous books, and you'll meet characters that will be featured in the future books. These characters are new to readers, whether you've read the previous books or not. There is some sexual content, though it's nothing very graphic, but you know what's going on. I'd say it's safe for 16 and up. It is a quick read. I'm not sure if it'd be considered a novella, but it's shorter than your typical novels. It's a happy read (though there is a small amount of heartbreak at one point.) If you are the Grinch type of person, you may not be interested in reading this, as it is obviously filled with all things Christmasy. It's written from her POV exclusively.

funny lighthearted fast-paced
”Ryan Sheppard and I will never be a thing. Not even a quick Christmas fling. Besides, I’m more of a ‘kisses under the mistletoe’ than a ‘tryst with a naughty Santa’ kind of girl.”

Tropes: Enemies-to-Lovers, Grumpy/Sunshine, Opposites Attract

Elves with Benefits was cute, however out of this series, it’s been my least favorite. But I still liked the setting and the series, which is why I stuck with it. The whole concept of a Christmas cop was hilarious, and the introduction of the Christmas romance book club was delightful. The heroine brought a whole new meaning to Christmas cheer, which helped make up for the pacing issues and the forced chemistry between the love interests.

I was soooo excited when I saw we were getting three more Christmas novellas from Jana Aston this year! A return to Reindeer Falls, woo-hoo! Maggie takes Christmas very seriously. As in she is the town’s Christmas cop who literally writes tickets for people who have not decorated their houses with enough Christmas cheer. Like really. Poor Ryan, an architect who is just in town to sell his deceased uncle’s house, gets a bunch of tickets and fines to pay because he hasn’t hung up lights and put out nutcrackers. Personally, I was kind of Team Ryan on this one, but the overall glitter bombing of Christmas (which I love in a Christmas novel) and the fun snark was enough for me to roll with it. A short and sweet enemies to lovers read!

“Just remember to wrap those packages before shoving them down the chimney.”

Can I first say that I need to visit Reindeer Falls?! I’m getting FOMO from these books! Reindeer Falls sounds MAGICAL & I need to see it for myself.

I’m this book we’ve got another set of characters & their story. We meet Maggie and Ryan.

Maggie is the towns holiday enforcement officer - she makes sure every house, business, etc is following the holiday rules/laws regarding decor and lights. She’s cheerful, perky, and loves everything Christmas and Reindeer Falls.

Then there’s Ryan. He’s just inherited his late uncles house and he’s in a bit of a grinch mood. He hasn’t decorated, is in a hurry to sell the house, and just wants to get as far from Reindeer Falls as he can.

His plan is going smoothly until Maggie starts writing him tickets for holiday violations.

Maggie isn’t expecting a “perfect male specimen” when she walks up to his door to discuss the violations.

Can Maggie’s love for Christmas pull Ryan away from the grinch side? She’s willing to try!

I loved this book. This whole series has been awesome. The sexual tension between Ryan and Maggie, even before they act on it…

I love love love Jana Aston so when she said she was coming out with a new Reindeer Falls i squealed with joy. I am a huge fan of Christmas i love everything about it, so a cute smexy romance about the holiday Christmas yep Check sign me up. Maggie and Ryan were pure perfection full of laughter and joy and this reminded me in places of the funny Hallmark movies with the miscommunication and hilarious act that follows. this whole story felt like Jana was describing my Christmas style and add a cute sexy love story added in yesss please. Over all Loved this story and cant wait to re read it again around Christmas time.

This was my first read in the Reindeer Falls series. I really enjoyed it! If you are a fan of holiday reads and novellas this will be a must read! This story played out like a movie in my mind! I wasn’t ready for this one to end! I found myself laughing throughout the entire story! I wish Reindeer Falls was a real place! Definitely somewhere I would want to visit! Can’t wait for the next novella! I will also go back and read the ones before it! I definitely recommend this one! Quick note: you do not need to read the previous stories to enjoy this one!

Received a arc for a honest review.
