I've come across this series a handful of times these last few years but with obvious reluctance I'd pass. Then I saw someone mention how happy they were that they gave the series a chance and enjoyed it. So, I thought what the hell. I felt more open to it this time and went for it.

Overall the story WAS interesting. Not quite forgettable as I'll always likely remember that I read at least one book in this series and I couldn't forget the hero Kit. Because you see, the hero Kit was fantastic. He knew what he wanted and went the fuck after it. Definitely possessive and alpha enough for my taste. Now the heroine Harmony was surprisingly likeable as well. Shocking, right? Who expects to like a club girl, even if she's the heroine of a story? I figured it'd take longer to warm to her but it wasn't hard at all. Her and Kit were cute together if I'm honest. CUTE.

Which is part of the problem for me. I wasn't expecting cute of all things from them or this series. I was expecting more gritty, raw, dirty vibes. What I GOT was a house full of MC brothers, old ladies and club girls who apparently were one friggin happy family. I appreciated how the president Optimus was protective over the club girls because they have his protection etc etc. What felt off to me was how different he viewed Harmony and Chelsea compared to the other girls. And sure, him and Chelsea have a little something something going on which is why they're the next book but whatever. I didn't expect to read a book where everything felt so, I don't know, Brady Bunch. Oh sure you had one or two club girls who were bitchy/bitches (Aka Dana) but in the end Dana redeemed herself and womaned up and apologized to Harmony and showed she had a heart after all. Cue the eye roll folks. Typical.

It's like this was a MC romance but NOT either. It was simply TOO soft for me. They're weren't alot of sexy times either which I expected all things considered and thankfully the ones suposedly with a few MC brothers before she met the hero Kit were hinted at rather than shown except one at the very beginning. Which was fine for me. But I felt a bit ripped off, ya know? She went to stay with Kit and his club and there were no interactions at all that we were shown with other old ladies or club girls especially. I know Wreck's old lady Del took to Harmony and that was fine but at one point Kit pointed out how she was hanging with the old ladies at one of their parties and how they took right to her even some of the club girls. Which he repeatedly complained about in his thoughts how THEIR club girls were nothing like the Athen's club girls. Apparently the Athen's club girls were choir girls in comparison and knew how to be polite but his were patch chasers and vindictive bitches or whatever. UH HUH. So everyone just had no issue with Harmony's past! Even though a few side eyed her for it (Wreck & Kit's mother) but they approved almost from the jump regardless of their bit of doubt. I was hoping for some catty club girls being mad Kit claimed a club girl from another club and not one from his own or some shit. Some drama! But nothing!

Add in them realizing they loved one another in their own thoughts but never saying "I love you" before the book ends? The disappointment is real. I also felt the arching storyline they is carrying into the next book wasn't that interesting in the end and so it left me relying on the relationship between Kit and Harmony to get me through. And well I blame the author for a lot of missed oppurtunitie there. Everything was just TOO EASY for them considering the circumstances of them getting together, him being president of his charter, her independence and past disappointment of men leaving etc etc. It was all handled so easily.

I may or may not read Chelsea and Opt's book. Before I would've said Hell yeah! But reading reviews has left me feeling disappointed even before I dive in.

The writing is rough.  Major across the pond vocabulary issues (trainers, spanner, bloody, ...).  Too annoying to continue, might try again another time.

I definitely think I have a new obsession with Motorcycle Clubs because all I've been reading and wanting to read lately are Biker books, agh I'm so in love
description
Now I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did, it was just.. I was reading ARCs and they weren't very good.. and I just wanted to read for me, y'know? SO LETS GET DOWN TO IT.

Harmony has been a "Club Girl" for 3 years now and she knows her place. She doesn't expect to be some Biker's old lady, and she knows she's basically a whore that gets to party and have fun."Club Girl Rule Number One: Love the club" Being a club girl, you do what makes the bikers happy and in exchange, they give you a place to live, money for your tuition and shopping expenses. "Club Girl Rule Number Two: Respect the brothers and they'll respect you" Harmony has lived a life where men are constantly coming and leaving so when Kit comes in, and "claims" her, Harmony is taken back because all bikers have ever wanted from her... was sex. Now Kit has lived and breathed the club since he was born, Harmony sees being an old lady is just being "owned" it's just a label and nothing more but Kit sees Harmony as someone who can fight him tooth and nail but knows her place. Harmony is everything Kit has been looking for and he's not going to back down without a fight.
description

I admire Harmony in this book because nobody wants to be called a whore, and nobody wants to acknowledge they are a whore. She may not be considered a "strong" female lead but to me, she's strong because she doesn't fight what she is, and she accepts it with the confidence not a lot of women can possess and that's why she gets her happily ever after with Kit. Her and Kit are so damn adorable and they surprised me with how much I loved this story. It was so damn sweet and adorable.

I enjoyed this new spin on an MC novel. The club girl perspective was different and interesting.

A biker romance that was a good surprise =D

I must admit that although I love biker romances, I am often disappointed : too much sex, borderline heroes (having no respect for women, doing illegal things like selling drugs or weapons or prostitution ...) and heroines are doormats ...
But here, it was a very pleasant read =D
It's not an usual romance among bikers especially because for once, the heroine is not this virgin / shy girl that the hero claims and who discovers the world of bikers but a "club girl", a girl who sleeps openly with bikers ! And it's super rare because usually they are described as mean and Machiavellian bitches ...
At the beginning I had some doubts, especially because it felt weird to have a heroine with such a fulfilling sexuality and who openly sleeps with several guys ... And finally I loved reading Kit and Harmony's story and the way they meet and end up together and also the drama around human traffic =D

In short, it's not a big crush but it's still a nice biker romance =)
PS: I'm SO going to read the story with Chelsea and Optimus even if I want to KILL HIM !!

I read this book on a whim primarily because I was interested to see if the author could make a club girl a likeable character. I didn't know how she would make me connect with her. The main character knows what she is and doesn't really romanticize it in anyway. She does what she does because she loves the club and in her mind they take care of her. Her mentality was pretty messed up overall but she wasn't a completely unlikable character. She seemed genuine, loyal, caring, and she wanted to better herself by finishing college. I still found her pretty ridiculous at times because I couldn't rationalize having sex with everyone in the club for their pleasure, whoever wanted it, whenever they wanted it etc. There was more to the plot and she does wind up having a love interest, so it isn't just her sleeping with random guys. This book was easy to read, but it definitely isn't for everyone.
