Wonderful. I found it to be stronger in it’s first half, but overall a very refreshing and thoroughly Foucauldian book. Both intensely personal and intensely theoretical, Huffer’s theory of Eros is really fascinating and I loved the emphasis on History of Madness in relation to sexuality - a connection I’ve always felt but could never have articulated so well. 4.5/5
