Incredible journey, constantly facing adversity and dealing with the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it (organic), the scientific detail makes it seem realistic and even possible in real life - Andy's effort to cover his bases to uphold this is clearly reflecting when elaborating in different solutions and explanations, love the chemistry talk, wish I didn't see the movie first

It didn't blow me away but it did leave me thinking, and it did definitely made me hopeful. There was a lot here. I loved the scientific nature and the intensity of the situation, and given that this was originally self published, I'll forgive grammatical mistakes. It was quietly intense and absolutely fascinating.

Sometimes the scientific calculations and other talk became a bit boring, being someone who barely understands that, but it still kept on being interesting!

Solid read after completing Project Hail Mary. Obviously much less science fiction but still very enjoyable. The epitome of everything that can go wrong, went wrong. I liked the little chapters in between the logs that closed gaps in info.

The narration is very funny and feels very human despite all the dry math and science that drives the plot. Occasionally I was caught off guard by the switch in narrators, but in retrospect I really liked how it served to slowly expand the scope of the story from Mark's limited journaling to finally include an omniscient voice. I never felt like I was being talked down to, even though my knowledge of space travel and physics is fairly limited to science fiction novels like this. Great read.
