Fall with Me is the fourth book in the Wait You series. It follows Roxy, an employee at Jax’s bar, and her relationship with Reece. Roxy has been in love with Reece for years but the timing never seemed right, especially after one big misunderstanding eleven months prior to the start of the story. I loved watching them find their way back to each other and the balance between the sweet and spicy scenes. Plus, seeing all the main characters from the previous books in the series was an added bonus!

Jennifer L. Armentrout's 'Fall With Me' is a passionate new adult romance filled with emotion and suspense. Roxy and Officer Reece's complicated relationship and Roxy's past create a gripping story of love, forgiveness, and the unwavering commitment to protect those we care about. A steamy and engaging read that keeps you hooked until the very end. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

4 stars.

I was intrigue by Roxy the first time I read about her in Stay with Me. I wanted to learn more about her and Reece. I like the plot of Stay with Me more but Roxy is an interesting character. I like her. Though I feel like Reece act more like an over-protected brother than a romance interest. Don't get me wrong, I like their interaction but I feel like Reece act like he is so much older than she is even though they are only 3 years apart. But he is a police officer and went to the army so I guess that's why. It was still addicting to read like many of Jennifer L. Armentrout's books.

The plot was okay. It wasn't as suspenseful as I hope but still good.

When I read [b: Stay With Me|9754807|Stay with Me|Paul Griffin|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1311282010s/9754807.jpg|14644075] and Reece and Roxy kept on popping up with their ambiguous attraction, I hoped that they would get their own book... AND HUZZAH! THEY GOT THEIR OWN BOOK~

The whole suspense aspect of the story was pretty predictable. I mean with the blatant mention of supposed hidden passages in the Victorian Roxy lives in and the suspicious neighbor we we even got to know by name, I'm assuming it wasn't supposed to be that difficult. But then again, I wasn't reading it for the suspense anyway (and Jennifer Armentrout probably knew that too o3o).

One of my favorite, darling-to-the-heart romantic tropes is unrequited loves becoming requited. So I went into this book with my lil tail wagging in glee.
description

Well, I didn't exactly get to bathe in the glory of unrequited becoming requited because even from the beginning, it's apparent that Roxy's crush for Reece became reciprocated a while ago. Like, Reece most definitely likes Roxy from his first appearance. *rolls eyes* While her lying at the beginning made me facepalm (p used to it though as a reader OvO), this was a v satisfactory read where Roxy at least didn't end up reconciling with Reece in the hospital (this was honestly starting to become a worrisome trend in this series O3O) and okay, I AM ALWAYS A GONER FOR A "STRAIGHTLACED COP" IN THE SUMMARY.
description

I definitely liked the title of this book the best... It didn't feel so random, like a generic, attention-grabbing title to be brought up sometime in conversation during the story:
"So fall with me," he said, smoothing his thumbs along my cheekbones. "Let yourself go and fall with me, and baby, I will catch you. I will get you through this. You just go to take that risk."
*fans self* How perfect is that?

Whereas the other heroines in this series struggled to overcome their personal traumas, Roxy is as much of a bystander as she is a victim of a trauma which complicates everything. She doesn't carry visible scars and at the surface level, she seems to be doing find, happily bartending, taking online classes, and rocking the most awesome shirts. But the struggle of accepting and allowing herself to be happy- a v apparent theme in this series- is all the more complicated by the fact that Roxy seeks this permission not from herself but Charlie, her invalid best friend and the direct victim of the "incident" years ago. I think Roxy knows that this isn't possible, it's just a form of self-punishment for her guilt.

There's no denying the goading "what if's" in life, especially in the situations that turned out the worst it possibly could have. Useless as it may be, those "what if's" hold power because they are valid to an extent. But sometimes the horrendous things in life, like the incident that virtually took Charlie's life with one rash throw of a rock, boils down to a simple truth: Life is stupid and uncontrollable at times. We are stupid at uncontrollable at times. And the thing to do with all that shit is to sift through and out of it instead of just sitting in it and letting it stunk you up because you "deserve it" like Roxy did for so many years.

In this, it's not a "throw-your-hands-up-in-the-air, Roxy did no wrong after all" thing. Sixteen year old Roxy stupidly, understandably lost control that night of her temper and words and so did Henry, the one who threw the fateful rock... I guess this was just a story about learning to let go and heal, helped by sexy times and Armentrout's addictive, witty writing.

Fin.

Ok so I'll start by saying that THIS IS MY FAVOURITE BOOK E V E R
I have so many books I absolutely loved, but this one is just perfect. Don't ask me why, I am sure there are a lot of "better" books out there, but for me this one has everything.
I love Roxy, I definitely love Reece, I love Jennifer L. Armentrout, I love her writing style, I love the secondary characters, I love the plot, I love everything
If you guys ever saw a review written by me, you know I am a lil "hater". Don't get me wrong: I love a lot of books, but for most of them I just don't feel like doing a review. That's the reason why I am such a hater when I actually do. Because I feel so angry that I just have to say my opinion.
It took me a while to write a review for this one, but I just couldn't put into words how much I love this book. It pains my heart that it has the lowest score in this series. Really? Well, I am not the person to judge someone for expressing its personal opinion by rating so...
