September 2021 reread:
This is a very cute enemies to lovers, workplace romance from RS Grey. As always, the banter between Ethan and Taylor is on point. I wish they knew how to actually communicate with each other at the beginning - a lot of their resentment stemmed from a misunderstanding. But as the book progresses it gets much better, and this is definitely a book I enjoy rereading!

Ok, so this book. The only other R.S Grey book I've read before was Hotshot Doc and I LOVED IT! i loved how relatable the main character was, and how real life the book felt. So I was really excited coming to this one and I have to say... I wasn't really disappointed.

The beginning was a little hard, until I got the rhytym of the book. I loved Taylor. I mean, I felt really sorry for her and all, but I loved how she was unapologetic herself, even when she was working on a construction site. About Ethan... He is not my favorite, but by the epilogue I did liked him a lot.

And now, what I think R.S Grey does best: THE TENSION! Oh my God. They were kind of forced (by Ethan himself) to share a cabin and it's great. Both of them are masters of provoking and they know how to push each others buttons, and it's everything. Her hot scenes are good but not as memorable as the growing tension between her couples.

Overall, it was a good book. Not my favorite, but still a good solid book with no big problems. Easy 4 stars and good entretainment.

Omgggg this book was so good ! It was just the perfect mix of everything. I loved the drama, the banter and there was even angst. Ugh my heart hurt in the wee hours of the morning. I loved this set of characters so much and I was so sad to leave them. Taylor is seriously amazing. I loved her as a heroine and she was just such a real person. My heart broke for her situation a million times over. Ethan was seriously such a male of worth and her perfect equal. I loved them.

This is my go to author for any and all short, sweet , lighthearted rom-coms!

This is a enemies to lovers romance. However not from both sides - the girl doesn't necessarily see him as an enemy actually.

I loved the flow of the book. Reading the blurb I was expecting a certain plotline and character setting but was actually super surprised! There were a lot of unexpected finds in this book which you wouldn't think, would exist while reading the blurb. Therefore I will not spoil them for you too by mentioning anything more about the storyline here.

It was interesting and I liked it a lot! It wasn't my most favourite works by this author but definitely one of the good ones!

(Mild Spoiler: I was actually expecting a break up scene but it went ahead to the epilogue :( I guess its a good thing because I don't think a break up scene would have actually suited the flow of the story...but oh well)

Pick this up if you love a good enemies to lovers, work romance with a nicely tied up epilogue!

This author does hate to love so well. In this incarnation we have a young woman who is trying to help her family finds herself in a really bad place. She almost steals a mans wallet but her conscience gets the better of her and she turns it in. And we have a man who is extremely attracted to a young woman who steals hi wallet and then shows up at his construction company. Lots of misunderstandings and irritations later these two are pushing and pulling like no ones business. Of course attraction simmers below all the snarling and sniping.
It was not terribly original but it was good.

4,5 beautiful stars to this new RS Grey book that had me laughing out loud and finishing it within a day because it was so fast paced and addictive. Once started, I was never able to put it aside until I was finished, which seems to becoming a ritual when reading one of her books. Don’t you just love it when you know that whenever you pick up a book by a certain author, you can be assured it’ll be a frigging awesome read? Rachel is one of those authors to me. I’m really grateful for having had the chance to read and review an ARC of this upcoming release.

This was a perfect in between contemporary office/work romance which had a haters-to-lovers element wrapped up in it as well. Rachel is SO good in the haters-to-lovers trope and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of this one.

Ethan and Taylor were oil and fire together, in the best and sometimes worst way possible hihi. And even though I did feel like it was a bit of a shame that these two had such hateful feelings for one another that sometimes went on too long because of a misunderstanding and because both of them were just being stubborn (Ethan mostly though: MEN, am I right? Sigh), it was so nicely wrapped up in the end that it was forgiven haha.

What to say about these two main characters hehe?
I absolutely loved reading from both POV’s. Taylor could be so devious at times, I loved it haha. She really knew how to push his buttons to the max and reading her thoughts and seeing her react to Ethan was so much fun!

And Ethan… It was so funny at times to see him struggle, the poor dude haha, lol. To fight his feelings and attractions for Taylor while trying to undermine her the entire time and especially; to try his damnest to hate her and failing < I loved it.

The banter was amazing and the tension between Ethan and Taylor was so frigging palpable that it had my stomach tied in knots the entire read. The romance development was intense, hot and my feelings were all over the place when reading it. I was SO invested in this story right from the start. I was rooting so hard for these two characters. They are an amazing addition to the R.S. Grey book world.

And, as always, I’m such a fan of the rest of the characters. The minor characters that we come across were a great addition to the story and I loved reading about them. Whenever I read a book by Grey, I’m always hoping she’ll add some books about minor characters as well, that’s how much I fall in love with them as well.

Picking up a Grey book always makes me so happy! She never disappoints you know? You can always be sure of the fact that when you pick up a book written by her, it’s going to provide you with such an amazing reading experience.

This contemporary romance is the perfect pick to anyone who likes office/work romances and who especially loves a really good executed haters-to-lovers romance. It is funny, it is heart warming, it’s intense and steamy. It’s R.S. Grey you guys!!! This is THE perfect book to pick up this summer! (Or any time really, lol)

Coldhearted Boss was a lighthearted, slow-burn romance between antagonistic characters. The setting played a fun factor in forcing the characters into close quarters and creating a nice push-pull in personality and attraction that carried throughout the story. And with Grey's exploration of a heroine driven by unique circumstances, it made for a more easy connection with her and her story as well as ramping up the contention between her and the hero.

There was a nice mixture of boss-employee and a summer camp feel that I really enjoyed. It made it feel young and new while still grabbing at the feels of an office romance. There was a good distinction between character motives and the eventual blurred lines, and I really enjoyed delving into Taylor's head. She felt hardened by life, but still so soft and I loved that Ethan could be combative while still feeling redemptive. My only point of issue lay in the fact that it was lacking that RS Grey spark; that something special that made it stand above the rest and something that Grey always elicits in her storytelling. Maybe it was the lack of com in the Rom-Com or something else I can't quite put my finger on, but it just didn't feel like her typical style. With that said, it's still a good, solid book that holds its own.

Coldhearted Boss was a devourable read, and I look forward to what this author comes up with next.

**Received an early copy; this had no bearing on my opinion**
