i hate that it ended with carrie getting pregnant. an unnecessary plot twist at the end that we don’t get to see play out and it annoys me

I was prepared to be disappointed in how this ended, and I ended up loving it.

I’ve been meaning to read this one forever and I’m so glad I kicked off November with it! TJR really is a master—just when I thought I knew exactly what was coming, she still managed to surprise me. I found myself engaged the whole way through and really loved these characters—pretty much a perfect historical/lit fic novella.

That ending… wow.
Not sure if I should be over the moon for Carrie or concerned for what this means for David.. but you go girl!
My first ever Taylor Jenkins Reid and surprisingly so much was packed in just 88 pages.
