This book is very informative about autism. It gave me a lot to think about. I don't 100% agree, but I don't suppose she'd find that surprising.

Not what I was expecting. I think I need to go back and read one of her earlier books. This one was more a summary of current research - which was interesting - but I wanted more of her experience to help me in my work. Regardless, she's an amazing intelligent and inspiring person.

Io l'ho trovato ben scritto e capibile.
Un po' noiosetta la parte sul cervello e i vari esami che ne dovrebbero spiegare il funzionamento, ma a livello di divulgazione scientifica, rende l'idea! Un primo approccio piĆ¹ che valido all'argomento.

This book was really informative and mind opening. I admit I started off with quite a prejudice towards this book, even though my cousin suffers from a type of autistic spectrum too. But as I finished the book, I realized that autistic people are more than I had thought of them. It is such an important message and I hope this book gets to be read more. Especially for people who encounter autistis people on daily lives. It would put us into the right perspective.

This book was absolutely fascinating. Some of the science parts are a bit dry, but Temple Grandin does a superb job explaining things. I read Thinking in Pictures many many years ago, and I forgot how funny she is! The studies she's explained in this book really opened my eyes to some of my students' behaviors. I really recommend this book for anyone living with or teaching an autistic child. Don't be afraid of the science stuff.

Temple Grandin is so honest, so forward-thinking, and has such a great sense of humor too. Her voice is forthright and passionate, and her writing is clear and engaging. The book is full of insight and wisdom; such a pleasure to read, and so much to wonderful information to absorb!
