Séria o Mercy patrí k mojim obľúbeným a rada sa k čítaniu jednotlivých kníh vraciam. Dokonca opakovane.

Veľmi by som ich uvítala.

This was a fun story. And I liked the art better in this graphic novel than in that [b:Homecoming|5582295|Mercy Thompson Homecoming|Patricia Briggs|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1440212769s/5582295.jpg|5753516] one. Adam and Mercy both looked closer to how I see them. Zee's look, though... This was not how I imagine him without his glamour.

But apart from Zee and a few other things (like Darryl's human form looking white *grrr*), this was a really good story. In it, Mercy, Adam, and the pack find some buried bodies; and Jesse meets the new girl at school.

Like in [b:Dead Heat|25489436|Dead Heat (Alpha & Omega, #4)|Patricia Briggs|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1453864597s/25489436.jpg|26949988], this story's Big Bad was
Spoilera fae released from the reservations to wreak havoc on the humans. I found this fae, Hopcross Jilly, to be quite sinister.

But in the end,
Spoilerwith Mercy and Adam riding to the rescue, Jesse proved to be the fae's undoing. It looked like Hopcross Jilly was dead, killed for trying to kill Jesse, who was NOT a bad child.

I am a little dissatisfied about that resolution. It seemed too easy. Is this
Spoilerfae really dead and gone?
I'm doubtful, but I'm also not very hopeful about learning more. This book seems pretty open-and-shut.

I liked the reread as part of my complete Briggs read, because it put Jesse in context with her relationship with Mercy and Adam, but we see more of it from her point of view. Also evil fae.

This graphic novel is set between books and features Mercy’s stepdaughter Jesse. The focus of the story is the pack finding skeletal remains in a field and Jesse meeting a new girl at school. While Mercy and Adam help the police find more bodies in the ground, Jesse is bringing the new girl, Jill up to speed on school and why certain cliques don’t like Jesse. While the investigation goes on kids from Jesse’s school start to disappear and fingers are pointing at her because her dad is a werewolf. Mercy finds a Fae connection to the bodies and is now on the hunt for a Fae killer that can look like anyone.

The story wraps up quite quickly and has the bonus of not requiring the reader to have read all the other books in the series in order to enjoy this one.
