I feel like it's time I finally give this book a proper rating and review instead of just giving it 5 stars for nostalgia.

That being said, I do LOVE this book. Sure, it's a little cheesy at times and certain characters *cough cough, Dallin* got on my nerves at some points but overall, I do love this book. It was the first book I ever finished recreationally and because of that, it will always have a special place in my heart.

A little trigger warning though, it talks heavily about having a drug addict parent, parental abandonment, and it does discuss some of the dangers of growing up in certain foster homes. So just be aware of that when you read this. Overall, it's a very mild, very sweet, young teenage romance book! 🫶🏻

I normally always tend to read kasie west books for a light and cute romance (which I got) but this one also incorporated some themes that I didn’t expect in light, fluffy and innocent romance. anxiety, commitment issues and drug use were fluently written into the story that it felt really nice to know that these topics got representation even in little cute romances.
I would even go so far to say that kasie west might be one of the queens of writing really unlikable characters that progress into really likable ones. I really liked the plot too, being stuck in a library aka the comfiest place in the world and dax and autumn being together and then kind of warming up to each other.
since this book was just somewhat of a distraction (people who read this book, please get the hint) i’m not able to give it more stars but please keep in mind, this book is really cute and incorporates really good issues. however, it is a bit unrealistic but I didn’t really expect more than that since it is a cute little romance written by kasie west.

I was more than disappointed by this... the whole thing was soooo slow and nothing really happened. The romance wasn’t anything special and I didn’t particularly like any of the characters. I got through it pretty quick but felt very bored. After all the hype I hear about West’s books I was very underwhelmed.
