This was a rollercoaster of a read. I think I got whiplash a number of times from wondering if the main characters were going to get their happily ever after thanks to Jordan's attitude.
I did enjoy the characters, though not when Jordan was in his asshole mode, otherwise they were usually enjoyable and especially towards the second half of the book where I feel like we got to see more of who they are. The side characters really shined stealing the show for certain parts of the book. One of my favourites was Bec and the moment we are first properly introduced. I just found it so funny when I was reading.
I think the set up for the insinuating even of the story was fun and not one that I has personally come across when reading, I thought it was kind of funny as well. In saying that as dark as the books gets it is also still has a quite a few funny moments. The running gag of satan's deodorant was entertaining but not overbearing. If you don't like vomit you may not like this gag.
With the series being such a long one, I think I will slowly get through it. I'm not desperate to pick up the next book. That or I'll end up binge reading a bunch if the mood hits me.
